The angle is stored in the page dictionary, which is how PDF viewers, printers and other software all agree on orientation — unlike a view setting that is lost on save.
Page content is copied unchanged, so text remains selectable, vector graphics stay sharp and the file does not grow.
Rotating only the landscape pages fixes the common mixed-scan problem in one pass instead of page by page.
Fix pages that were scanned sideways or upside down. Rotation is written into the page’s own orientation attribute rather than re-drawing the content, which means the text stays selectable, the file stays the same size, and nothing is re-rendered or degraded.
